Day 1

 

tPurpose of the training

After this training you will have basic knowledge to judge the results of the HAZOP and Lopa . You will learn to make a SRS (Safet Requirement Specification)and test the results against requirements.

 

What will we do

Based upon your practiacal examples or a case study from RMT you will learn to design a safety loop regarding the specifaction and requirements. You will learn to determine the Architecture and specify the loop based upon Sil loop calculations. Maintenance  procedures need to be described. To judge your own loop design regarding the specification is the final step in the design. Finally you will be asked to practice the theory of Sil loop design by finding a casus in your own organization and create or modify a Sil loop. Goal is to have several different examples incl engineering and installation drawings as input for the next session.

Day 2

 

tPurpose of the training

Goal is that after this Block you are able to design and calculate a safety loop regarding the requirements out of the HAZOP/LOPA and specified in the SRS.

 

What will we do

During Day 1 of this two day Block you will learn to read the HAZOP and LOPA  result and translate them to SRS data. Concepts like SIF, SIL, Process Safety Time, PFD, Sprurious Trips, Failure data will be explained and positioned. You will make a SRS and will judge if it is sufficient for starting the Provision engineering. Finally you will be asked to practice the theory of SRS by find a casus in your own organization and create or modify a SRS. Goal is to have several different SRS's as input for the next session.
